The Crown Approach

At Ongata Crown School, we are proud to present  a curriculum that not only aligns with the preset Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) (going from daycare to grade 9 in junior high) but also goes above and beyond. Our approach is not just a program; it’s a holistic educational journey designed to empower young minds to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

Whether it is our books or hands-on training, we make sure each student gets personal attention to cope up and flourish in every subject for better scores and a brighter future.

Kindergarten

At first glance it can look alot like children playing, especially daycare but even play offers lessons for preschoolers. The educational value of building towers out of blocks or making colours with the water tray might not be clear to an outsider; but our teachers are able to ariculate the why of each activity the children indulge in. We understand that good teaching is purposeful and activities like building blocks enable the students to increase spatial reasoning and cooperation as they work together and this is how we view cognitive development and we aim to introduce this kind of intuitive understanding and then later they come to learn the science of it. This ensures that we are able to detect the sparks of interest in these children and give room for nurturing the same by giving them support whilst giving them some room to explore and develop each at their wn pace with the help of our more than able staff

Primary

Languages are an essential part of early education, fostering linguistic and cultural skills that can benefit students throughout their lives.

Junior High

Science is the foundation for a child's understanding of the natural world and the scientific principles that govern it. It's a subject that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
